Happy Wednesday friends! Ahh, today was wet and cold and we even got some light snow! Like really! I can't take any more snow! Gosh, this is the part I hate about early spring. It also doesn't help I think I might be coming down with something. Today I am meeting a very special person, someone who has become a friend over the years. Originally started as a business relationship, but now someone I consider a friend. Today I am meeting with Emily, she was the buyer who took a chance on me and my clothing line. 13 years ago I walked into her office with a suitcase of tutus and she believed in me and my brand and launched my line at Canada's largest gifting department store in 2013. OLIVIA ROSE launched her 1st ever-exclusive holiday collection with Indigo Books & Music. I take great pride in our 13-year partnership with Indigo Books & Music co. Even though Emily is no longer with Indigo we have remained friends and chatted from time to time. But due to the pandemic, I hadn't seen her in years! I was just a budding designer with a baby company, but she saw something and took a chance on me! and I am forever grateful for the opportunity and experience I have had working with my clothing line and selling to some of Canada's biggest department stores. I have learned so much along the way and no amount of money could ever buy the experience and skills I have gained. Even though I am taking a light break to figure out my next steps. It was really great to connect and go back to a time when I was so inspired by my dreams and my visions. The pandemic was hard on me, mentally like many I know. I just need some time to regroup and figure out what's next. I feel like a butterfly who is in the stages of growth, still closed. But soon, with time I will open up again and it will all be clear. So for now I am enjoying sharing all of my passion & Love for fashion, design, and retail with you all. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I am starting to realize that nothing is a waste, no experience can be bad. You either learn or Win! I have defiantly learned a lot! Sorry I got a little deep here! Let's get to my outfit today!:)
Ok, so I have been waiting to wear this denim maxi skirt since it was delivered in early March! I love love this skirt so much! The feeling, the length, and for me I love that it has a slit. I honestly don't think I could wear this length without a slit. It would feel too constricted. I wanted to keep things fresh and classy here, so I wore a black long-sleeve bodysuit that had an open back. I wore my new cowgirl boots from Amazon and topped this look off with a basic oversized blazer from Urban Plant. When in doubt about fashion, just try to keep it simple and try not to add too much fluff for extra. When you keep things simple you come across classy and more put together and confident. I hope you loved this look as much as I did.
I’ve linked my outfit details below if you are interested in recreating this look.
Have a beautiful day!
